Prabir Kumar Mallick says:

great video

Tim says:

the engine is doing 19.000 rpm? I think not… ships that size have slow 2 stroke engines… nice bit of “realism” there

DJ Twenty says:

Do you think the real life captains of these ships has to take ‘stay awake’ pills to keep them focused ??

Michael P. says:

There we go again with simdumping. Fucking Ship Simulator 2006 was way better than this shit.

Kawaii hunter says:

is that the maersk? lol

damon-st says:

no… that’s not how you dock a ship of that size, normally, when you get about one mile from the port, they send at least 2 smaller boats to help you coast, one of them is attached to the front of your ship with a rope to guide you while the other can push you from the sides, when you get close enough to the dock, you don’t need to use your propeller anymore and it’s better not to, the other boats will help keep pulling and pushing you ship around to position it precisely where it should be, you can’t do that with your propeller. also, you can’t coast if another ship is going out, you’d normally be asked to wait somewhere safe until the way is clear, there is too much risk of collision and collision between giant ships like this can really be messy.

Leslie Oxley Friedrich says:

8 mins in the vid there is a submarine

John Holloway says:

Super video—seems like a nice simulation. I wonder if it has improved since 2015?
I still find the flaw in these types of simulations in the fact that there is not enough activity in the scenery for me! On a dock this size, there should be people and activity everywhere! But here it appears that earth is abandoned!

Wish real life was as simple and quick as this haha! Most dreaded moment of a seafarer is, going to port and leaving.

Mooring ops are always intense.

I don’t understand why there wasn’t any door to the bridge wings. Captains, Pilots, officers and crew on bridge duty should be able to walk to the wings. Anyway, almost a great game though.
