24 Upcoming PC City-building Games in 2018 & 2019 ► Survival RTS City-builders!

Do you like city-building games? Because here’s a whole 24 games that are on the way! TWENTY-FOUR! Welcome to the 24 Upcoming PC City-building Games in 2018 & 2019 list! Us city-building enthusiasts haven’t been having the best of times as the genre kind of fell out of favour, but it might be time for a comeback! The twists bringing the city-builder back seem to be adding survival themes and a few RTS strategy elements along with the simulation. I mention 24 upcoming city-builders in this video and the first half are based on survival and many have strategy built into them. What’s important though is that it seems the city-building genre is coming back into style and at least some of these games should end up being good.

Really good list and I really like your honest opinions, both bringing up the good and the bad about every game.

Grox says:

i miss a game like Black and white 2

Shaun Seymour says:

cities skylines will always be the best

-dont hurt me please-

Collin Specht says:

You can steal other countries monuments in Tropico 6? Lmao I’m down

3PointsShooter says:

I really like city builder games a lot. I would appreciate it, if i could build a city with my friends. But it does not seem there are any good multiplayer modes in these kind of games. Does anyone know a good game, where you can build your city/industry together?

Matthew Simmons says:

I am so looking forward to ANNO 1800!!!

Holly says:

most of this are no city builder for me xD

Frankythechops says:

warcraft 2 was the shit

Buildit with Smith says:

mike Princivil says:

Which one is already out?

Raimundur says:

Great video mate thanks. Very nice touch adding the counter in the button.

LumyTheQueen says:

Keeping an eye out for Tropico 6 but Saelig seems very interesting to…

Miki Cerise says:

Industries of titan! Instant wishlist for a huge Titan fan. 🙂

Roger M. Soares says:

I wish game makers would come up with a simple city building like a “modern Minecraft”, same purpose, same mods but with round and realistic looking materials. It would be perfect for me.

Clay W says:

the graphics of all of these suck, why make a list of shitty games.

Markus Markus says:

even your old videos are very good & nice.

Fishaman says:

Lords and Peasants looks like and rpg builder I played like 10 or more years ago

Taurus Simulation, Strategy & Sports Gaming says:

Some of these are looking promising

Random Vocab says:

Sim Earth << Train building does NOT = city building ... kills me that almost every building game is a cash shop pay to win game or pay for any good looking items.

dan Spal says:

The trend of releasing unfinished games is absolutely ridiculous. Just selling promises that most likely will never be fulfilled. A true sucker’s buy.

Richard Michael McDonnell says:

I would love to see a city building game like Sim City 4 but with many interactive regions instead of just one region.

R.A.H ɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟɪsᴛ ɴᴇᴛʜᴇʀʟᴀɴᴅs says:

i fucking hate all those games that look like they come from 1998

7Ahilles says:

waiting FROSTPUNK from all of this

Andro A says:

Michiel Van Duijn says:

high expectations for Anno 1800. I hope I won’t get dissapointed. Lots of pressure on the team, since the last one wasn’t bad, but not that great.

Mr. Spock says:

I don’t know if it’s just nostalgia on my part but I would love a remake of Caesar III for modern PC’s.
Just loved that game.

RTTechSpot says:

I got my start on the original DOS version of SimCity. Currently I’m hooked on Cities Skylines

Aristocles Paximares says:

Hey! missing project aura in your list

Kras Silver Fang says:

God there are a lot of Uggly looking games there even for Alpha

ik wil geen account says:

A very well put together video.

robby tm says:

Meh, the older games are still too similar or even better. How hard is it to make a Fantasy Town game in the Warhammer universe. It would be fun trying to get a town running in the border of the empire and have to deal with Chaos/Orc/Skaven/thieves threats. Aside from the usual starvation, disease, raiders, etc.

uJhon _PvP says:

ola, is steam dowload ??

Ukkometso says:

Industries of Titan looks great.

Taek Oh says:

which of them are likely to be released soon?

Resinds .P says:

Number 21. looks sick

irie. Nappy says:

just leave it at city skylines, and DLC. thats all you need

uhavemooface says:

How many times are you going to say rough around the edges with games?

Dojando says:

I grew up with the anno series and I am sooooo curious if the anno 1800 will be the best of of anno games as promised.

Maria A says:

It’s depressing that so many of these games look almost identical to each other, and with shitty graphics at that.

GamerZakh says:

City-building games are back! This year I’m streamlining the lists a bit in terms of genres but making them much more extensive. City-building is the latest addition to the set and looking at the 24 (TWENTY-FOUR) on the way it’s going to be a good time for fans of the genre. Which are you most interested in? Ananas taki owoc LOL says:

Too much banished clons

propfella says:

I’ve been confined to bed for the past 18 months and I’m sure I’d have gone stir crazy without my City Building Games and Flight Sims. For the past few months Ostriv has been my favourite, the Developer has been giving us plenty of updates, it’s a slow process as there’s a lot of features to go before it’s ready for full release. I find City Building is relaxing and helps time pass quickly.

I’m always on the lookout for new titles and it looks as if there’s quite a few to look forward to. Please keep us updated with new titles and info on those you’ve already mentioned. YouTube has saved me a lot of money, something I don’t have a lot of to buy new games and your videos help me decide which ones to invest in. The only negative thing I’ve found with many of the reviewers of new games is that they appear to be catering for the 8 to 18 year olds. They all seem to copying each other in their presentation and to be blunt, they sound as if they’re either on day leave from the local mental hospital or have lost the ability to talk. There are very few like yourself, shall we say “Sensible” And what’s with this plastering themselves over the game. Do we really need them there. I watch the videos to see the game, not them talking about it incessantly. They waffle on and on and on, hardly pausing for breath and always at a volume four times louder than the game’s soundtrack.

If anyone can tell me if there’s someone like Squirrel previewing City Building games, I’d really appreciate it. Unfortunately Squirrel only does simulators, but I’ve spent many hours watching his videos simply for entertainment. Someone similar in the City Building genre would be a Godsend.

Avatarass says:

City builders aren’t making a comeback. It’s still a very tiny percentage of the games released.

It’s just Steam releases 100s of shit games every month, so even niche games are numerous.
